I've lived that with my family too.

One of the best things I'm seeing in the study of Moses is that God knows the big picture and there are sometimes steps along the way that don't make sense to us but that are an important part of the overall plan. I'm sorry that your following His lead is causing both you and your mom pain. I will pray that you will get a glimpse of how He will be glorified through all of this; not just the words you'll share with others, but through these circumstances that have you and your mother talking in a new way. And you both may be surprised how the project is "tweaked" between now and the release so that it isn't something that will bring her pain or shame in the end.

God will bless your obedience and each mask you remove leads you ever closer to reflecting a pure image of Him.RefreshMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17755273960702792845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7743538212105747897.post-54130213194935793892008-10-27T11:43:00.000-05:002008-10-27T11:43:00.000-05:00Whew - God bless you for taking off a mask today. ...Whew - God bless you for taking off a mask today. I know the beauty of mentors - have had them, have practiced mentoring. I pray your mother would one day come to a place she could rejoice in the mentors God has given you. I pray often that God would send mentors to my children. I am inept to do fullfill all their multiple needs. As I read your entry I think of Sharon Jaynes' book, YOUR SCARS ARE BEAUTIFUL TO GODVanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03609122386376968883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7743538212105747897.post-59101727800619216442008-10-25T18:49:00.000-05:002008-10-25T18:49:00.000-05:00It sounds like a beautiful book. I'm sorry that yo...It sounds like a beautiful book. I'm sorry that your mother doesn't understand. Unless a person has a strong faith, it is difficult to understand how much a spiritual mentor means. I understand how it is to have a chasm like this with a parent.
I know it hurts. Your book will inspire many to mentor others and reach out. I think that is a beautiful sacrifice to make. I'll pray for you mom to understand.
Love to you.
LauraLaurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08263995875732832349noreply@blogger.com
